There's a new funk chick on the scene. The name's Janelle Monae and she's hitting the streets hard with a sultry voice and stylings we could only dream of! Soon to release her second album, Monae just teamed up with Big Boi (of Outkast) for her first single, 'Tightrope', and it's a solid piece of musical goodness. Don't hold it against her that she's a member of Diddy's stale Bad Boy crew, the girl's made it clear that she's on a mission to redefine the global music scene...in a tux and checkered loafers. Damn, she's so what we've been waiting for.
